The quality of your generated documents improves significantly with more context. First, make sure your Business Profile is fully filled out — including your industry, services, and typical pricing ranges. The AI uses this to tailor every document to your business. Second, write a detailed project description when generating; the more specific you are about scope, deliverables, and client needs, the better the output. Finally, use the "Similar to previous" feature to base new documents on past ones that worked well — this gives the AI a strong reference point and helps maintain consistency across your proposals.

How does Pagentix provide accurate quotes?

When generating a quote or proposal, Pagentix determines pricing using three sources in priority order: (1) any prices or budgets you explicitly mention in your project description — these always take precedence; (2) your personal document history, weighted toward work you've had accepted or paid; and (3) your Business Profile, which can include your typical rates and payment terms.

The more documents you create and mark as accepted or paid, the more accurate your quotes become. Over time the AI learns your real-world rates for different types of work and uses them as a baseline for new documents. When a price has no basis in your history or description, it will be marked "[est. — please review]" so you always know what to verify before sending.

How do I edit a document after it's been generated?

Open the document from your documents list and tap the "Edit Doc" button. You can modify any section text or update line items directly. When you're done, tap "Save" to create a new revision. Note that saving edits resets the document status to Draft.

How do I change the status of a document?

Open the document and tap the colored status badge in the top right (e.g. "Draft", "Sent"). A menu will appear with all available statuses: Draft, Sent, Viewed, Accepted, Rejected, Expired, and Paid. Select the new status to update it instantly.

Open the document and tap "Edit Doc" (or tap the edit icon next to the Line Items heading). You can change descriptions, quantities, and unit prices for existing items, add new line items with the "+ Add line item" button, or remove items with the "x" button. Totals update automatically.

Open the document and tap the "Share" button. You can send the document link via text message, email, or copy the link to your clipboard. You can also tap the link preview at the top of the document to copy it directly.

How do I know when a client has viewed my document?

When someone opens your shared document link, the status automatically updates to "Viewed" and you'll see the change reflected on the document. Note that the Viewed status may not be perfectly accurate — it updates whenever the link is opened, regardless of who opens it, so it could be triggered by you if you are not logged in or anyone else with the link.

When does a document become Expired?

A document becomes Expired when its "Valid Until" date has passed. This date is automatically set to 30 days from the date the document was generated. Once expired, the document is no longer considered active, though you can still view it or create a revision from it.

Can I edit a document marked as Paid?

No. Documents marked as Paid are locked and cannot be edited. Paid status indicates the engagement is complete and the document is final. If you need to make changes, consider creating a new document instead.

Can I base a new document on a previous one?

Yes. When generating a new document, use the "Similar to previous" search field to find an existing document by name. Select it, and the AI will use that document as a reference when generating the new one, saving you time on repeat projects.

Go to Settings and tap "Business Profile". Here you can update your business name, industry, services, pricing ranges, and other details. This information is used by the AI to generate more accurate and personalized documents.

Documents cannot be deleted. If a document is no longer relevant, we recommend marking it as Rejected. To do this, open the document and tap the colored status badge in the top right, then select "Rejected" from the menu.
